About Ten & Two

Ten & Two got its start in the ‘90s, when founder Ken McCabe found himself repeatedly resolving similar content management issues for such content-rich sites as Nickelodeon, MTV, and Comedy Central. Ten & Two reviewed these engagements and created its Chassis CMS tool, building in best design practices, principles, and technologies. Ten & Two built Chassis CMS using a CCM-based approach, based on open source technologies.

This model realizes numerous advantages for Ten & Two’s customers. Chassis CMS’s CCM approach places content into discrete context-independent components, ready for assembly into documents on the fly. Decisions about presentation and use are implemented with XSL scripts and maintained apart from the content itself, which can be retrieved and reused throughout your site. Ten & Two built the Chassis CMS solution to use the open-source LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP) stack of technologies, buildable on commodity hardware. This eliminates the often formidable licensing expenses and architectural inflexibility of proprietary solutions. Finally, by starting from a built solution that adopts industry best practices, Ten & Two moves you beyond custom solutions that are often feature-poor, inflexible, and expensive, and provides you with a full-featured CMS solution that works for you, not a vendor.

Ten & Two engages customers in two fashions:
